Step 5: Fstab

At this stage you define the layout of your file system -- that is, where the partitions you created earlier are mounted. The top part of the dialog box indicates the layout as it is currently set up (it will be empty at first). You add partitions to the file system by selecting ``Add'' and choosing the partition. For each partition you use you need to enter a mount point. Keep in mind that you must have a partition mounted at / (the root partition), and that no two partitions can have the same mount point.

As an example, say you've created a 32 Mb partition /dev/hda2 for your / partition, and you've created a 300 Mb partition /dev/hdb1 for /usr. Your layout might look like this:

/dev/hda2         /
/dev/hdb1         /usr

When you are done arranging your file system select ``Done''.
