That was once the case as the Solaris 8 foundation source program existed and thus you could download the Solaris 8 FCS source code. This is no longer available, use the contacts as described. frankB

Two years ago many things were different, including the availability of the Solaris sourcecode. We had the "Solaris Foundation Source" Program then, and the source was available basically for shipping and media costs. It never was downloadable like Solaris itself, you had to register, pay a few bucks for media+shipping and got a CD with the kernel, library and utility sources of Solaris 8 (something close to that - the source is under different copyrights and ownerships, and not everything could be released in the Foundation Source program). That program has been discontinued, and so the Solaris source is now again available to the previous conditions - you have to pay (significantly, if you're not in education) for it. That's why the webpage says: contact sales... Some driver sources are available freely for download via soldc.sun.com, but the "full set" no longer is easily available to the public. Depending on what exactly you want to do, the driver sources may be helpful to you, check out: http://soldc.sun.com/developer/support/driver/src/SUNWdrvs-8.html http://soldc.sun.com/developer/support/driver/src/source.html Bye, FrankH.
