Hi all, I installed SysVinit 2.66, and had to go back to 2.64 after i saw
a problem. When I booted with 2.66, no daemons would load <i.e. sendmail,
gpm, icmpinfo, etc etc...>. I tried booting numerous time, to no avail.
I then re-installed SysVinit 2.64, and everything was working again.

i486dx2-66
Kernel 2.1.13 and 2.1.14
gcc 2.7.2.1
libc 5.4.13
ld.so-1.8.5

Its not like I NEED to run 2.66, I am just saying that there may be a
problem with it. =)

Yes, sysvinit 2.66,67 and 68 were a bit unstable. I've just made a
2.69 which should solve all problems. You should be able to find it
on most Debian mirrors in a couple of days (in debian/source/unstable/base)
or in ftp://ftp.cistron.nl/pub/people/miquels/debian/ if you need it now.
