I'm using the 1.1.62 kernel and the 920 iBCS package which seems to work ok (wpdecompress program works fine). There are no install directions so I untarred the wp60stat.tar file to the root, and as root, from /, I ran wpinstall. There are signs of files uncompressing and a little chatter, but I'm stopped at the following: wpinstall WPCorp Installation for: WordPerfect 6.0 for UNIX (R) Systems /dev/X0R: No such file or directory Error: Can't open display: :0 On the suspicion that /dev/X0R is FIFO, I made such devices with "mknod /dev/X0R p" and did the same for /dev/spx. But here I'm stopped at... wpinstall WPCorp Installation for: WordPerfect 6.0 for UNIX (R) Systems Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server Xlib: 0 5 NbY VbY^bYfbYnbYvbY~bYcYcY Error: Can't open display: :0 Oh, the X libraries are X11R6, and xhost is set to "+" and there are no openwindows thingies on my machine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. -Howard -- Howard Foster (n...@ced.berkeley.edu) Ph.D. candidate^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H^H, (got it!) Environmental Planning, UC Berkeley. Phone: 510-848-1241

But here I'm > stopped at... > Its not a fifo. Read the file README that came with the ibcs module source code to see how to set this up. If you dont have the source, ftp to tsx-11.mit.edu:/pub/linux/ALPHA/ibcs2 and get the latest ibcs source. Jim
