I am curious, in order to run this program Word Perfect under the emulation,
are any libs from the sun needed? And if so, what are they?

Thanks.

Sun? No, you would be using the SCO version. SCO is IBCS/COFF compliant.
Since WordPerfect linked their binaries static, Motif, X, and other
libraries are compiled into it. This is good news for compatibility across
platforms, but bad news for memory usage. I am hoping that with the 6.0
release, they will have the option of a few dynamic (shared lib) binaries
(of course, this will not work in Linux, since Linux does not have the
same shared libraries as SCO).

How much RAM does WordPerfect require to run on a Linux box currently?

Could someone send me an FAQ, or let me know what I need specifically in
order to get WordPerfect for Linux/Motif up and running?

Thanks!

The X version is a 4MB binary of which the typical RSS is seems to be around
2-2.5MB after initial start up.

This is, of course, a damn good reason why WP should compile a Linux
version if they wish to sell to desktop systems as most of that size
consists of the X library code which would be better coming from the sahred
library :-).

Get the iBCS emulator from tsx-11.mit.edu:pub/linux/ALPHA/ibcs2 and read the
documentation...
