The NET/2 BSD code came out pretty much unscathed by the final settlement, much more significant were a few odd bits of the UFS code. You can pick BSD NET/2 up from many archive sites (the original not the Linux stuff). Linux uses a lot of the user utilities from the BSD NET/2 release but the standard set uses no kernel code from it. UCB's statement about the legal settlement asked people to use the 4.4BSD lite stuff instead.. I've not seen this yet, and since the *BSD people aren't yet using it I assume its pending release still. Alan
