System Requirements The Network Desktop runs on 32-bit Intel-based PCs and requires 200 MB of disk space. 16 MB is also required for a swap partition. 16 MB of RAM are recommended, but the Network Desktop will operate in 8 MB, especially in text mode. A CDROM drive is required to install the Network Desktop, though the CDROM drive can be located on a machine connected via NFS. A 3-1/2 inch drive is required for the installation. Broad peripheral support includes CD-ROM drives, network cards, PCMCIA drivers and support, IDE and SCSI controllers, video cards, Frame Relay and other communication cards, and more.
