For a regular install, select ``CD''. If your CD-ROM drive is not found, and you have some familiarity with Linux, you may be able to get it to mount using the ``Device'' or ``MajMin'' options. If you have downloaded RHC Linux from an FTP site you will also need to use the ``Device'' and ``MajMin'' options to mount the partition with RHC Linux files on it.
If you have an ATAPI based IDE CD-ROM drive you may need to specify a LILO boot option to force the probe to look harder. The parameter format is:
hdx=cdrom
where hdx can be any of hda, hdb, hdc, or hdd, depending on the interface and drive location of the CD-ROM drive.
If you are doing a network install choose ``NFS''. You will configure networking immediately so that the CD-ROM can be mounted (see section Configure network).
After configuring networking, you need to specify the server and path that contains the RHC Linux CD-ROM. You will find that things will start up faster if you use an IP address for your NFS server. In fact, if you have no name server, or if it happens to be down, you must use an IP address.
