Boot your machine off the boot floppy you just created. You will first see the LILO boot: prompt. The first time through, just hit enter. Watch the messages as the Linux kernel initializes your hardware. If the kernel boots and recognizes all your hardware properly you are set! If it misses something or gets something wrong, you may need to enter some parameters at the LILO boot: prompt, or use a different boot image. If you do need to specify some parameters, remember them! You will need them later.
When you see the ``VFS: Insert root floppy ...'' message, insert the root floppy and press Enter. If all goes well you will be presented with the welcome dialog box.
