hey gang,

i'm working on an article for TR and was wondering what tools most of you
are using for your developement. when i say 'tools' i'm actually talking
IDE's. (ie: Code Fusion, Visual SlickEdit, gcc console).

if you would reply and just let me know what IDE you use most frequently
when developing Linux apps I'd greatly appreciate it.

thank you all.

I would guess most of the GNOME developers are using *vi* or emacs.
You can count me to the VIs.

Cheers, Martin.

count me in for vim, gcc and gdb ... vim does way more for developers then
I've had seen any IDE do in terms of code editting and navigation

Same here. I just know VI to well to switch to anything else.

I do use Emacs plus Glade for my development.

I have grown to use pretty much all of the development features of
Emacs: compilation from withing the editor, and pinpointing of errors
as well as CVS support, locking, and debugging integrated into a
single nice unified IDE ;-)

I use Glade for doing my user interfaces.
